Creating Better Photos In Your Everyday Life

| Shrode Art Center

Saturday, April 13 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm & Friday, April 26 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm | Class Fee: $40 + $25 Material Fee | Instructor: Nathan Pearce

In this two-day workshop, artist and photographer Nathan Pearce, will teach students how to create artful photographs in their daily lives. Each student will be provided with one disposable camera which is included in the material fee and covers processing, printing and mounting.

Saturday’s session will include a demo on using the disposable camera, lessons about contemporary and historical photography. Participants will then be instructed to shoot their roll of film around the grounds of the museum. Afterward, cameras will be collected by the instructor and sent in for processing. Two weeks later class will meet again on Friday, April 26th to review the prints and critique. Students will select their best images and learn what photos are more successful than others. A pop-up exhibit of the resulting photographs by students will be displayed in a Shrode Art Center classroom. Photos will be returned to students.

Material Fee: $25 (includes disposable camera, processing, printing and mounting)
