| Shrode Art Center

Saturday, October 26 | 10:30 am - 2:30 pm | Class fee: $25 | Instructor: Katelyn Ashby

Enhance your drawing skills by learning the basics of how to draw original comic book characters and short storylines. The morning of this workshop will be spent looking at tools, materials, and basic techniques used in drawing with pencil and pen & ink. Facial features, expressions and basic human form will be practiced through a series of sketching exercises.

In the afternoon discussions about how to develop and produce a traditional comic book will help repeat students that may want to take their skill to the next leve. This workshop is great for beginners who want to learn how to develop a new hobby in comic drawing and is open to ages 10 and older.

All materials included.

Katelyn Ashby is recent MVTHS graduate and was awarded an art scholarship to Rend Lake College where she is studying art this fall. She has been drawing, creating art and developing her comic-book novel for over six years.
