Tie-Dye Workshop

| Shrode Art Center

Saturday, December 7 | 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm | Class Fee: $25 | Instructor: Carrie Gibbs

Tie-dye is a way of creating patterns of color by folding, tying, stitching, crumpling or otherwise preparing the fabric to inhibit the flow of the dye into the folds of the fabric. With experience, the end result can be predicted and controlled to some extent, but surprise is a part of what makes tie-dye an exciting and interesting art form that even a first timer can have great results with. This workshop will be fun for children, adults, friends and family. Wear old clothes and shoes since they dye we are working with is permanent. Each student can bring two T-shirts and one additional item, i.e. pair of socks, baby onesie, bandana, etc.

All materials included.
